• File Selection: Choose the appropriate file size based on the dimensions of the root canal. The M-Access H-Files are available in various sizes ranging from 008 to 080.
• Preparing the Root Canal: Begin by cleaning and shaping the access cavity. Establish a glide path using smaller-sized files or reamers before progressing to the M-Access H-Files.
• Lubrication: Apply a sufficient amount of lubricant, such as a water-based gel or a lubricating solution, to the file before inserting it into the root canal. This helps reduce friction and facilitates smoother file movement.
• Insertion: Insert the H-File into the canal with a gentle but firm pressure. Ensure that the file is directed along the long axis of the tooth.
• Cutting Motion: Perform the filing motion using the withdrawal stroke technique. This involves an upward cutting motion while retracting the file towards the access cavity. Avoid using a twisting or torquing motion, as it may lead to file breakage or canal transportation.
• Avoid Excessive Force: Apply controlled and moderate pressure while using the H-File. Excessive force can cause instrument fracture or damage to the tooth structure.
• File Cleaning: After each use, clean the file thoroughly by removing any debris or dentin particles. Use a file brush and irrigate the file with a disinfectant solution to maintain its cleanliness.
• File Sterilization: Sterilize the files using appropriate methods recommended by infection control guidelines. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for sterilization and storage.
