Angelus MZ Primer
MZ Primer
Safety for the adhesion to metal and zirconia.
MZ Primer is a one-bottle solution that promotes the bonding of resins (composite, cement, acrylic) to a
variety of substrates such as metals and ceramics,including zirconia and alumina. Simple and versatile, without the need of complicated procedures, it provides long-term, reliable results.
INDICACIONES
In situations where it is necessary to increase and stabilize bonding between organic materials such as resins (composite, cement, acrylic) and inorganic materials such as metals and ceramic surfaces.
Chemical Bonding agent for metal, Zirconia and Alumina.
COMPOSITION
phema, methacrylate, PMDM, benzoyl peroxide and solvent (acetone).
RECOMMENDATION
Laboratory use: to increase the adhesion of composite and acrylic resins to metal and Zirconia structures.
Clinical use: to increase adhesion in the cementation of crowns with metal or Zirconia frameworks and to
treat metal surfaces during crown repair procedures with composite resin

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
- CLINICAL USE
Cementing of metal-free zirconia prostheses
- Preparation of the retainer tooth:
- On natural tooth surfaces, use a bonding agent (e.g. Fusion Duralink) according to its specific
guidelines.
If the retainer tooth presents metal surfaces (e.g.a cast metal post), these should be roughened with
an abrasive microetcher/sandblaster or diamond bur, washed with abundant water and then receive a layer of MZ PRIMER (wait for 3 minutes).
IMPORTANT - Do not allow MZ PRIMER to contact the oral tissues.
- Preparation of the zirconia restoration inner surface:
1. Roughen the inner areas of the restoration with an abrasive microetcher/sandblaster (with alumina
particles);
IMPORTANT: Follow the ceramic/porcelain manufacturer’s instructions regarding the adequate
time and pressure of sandblasting.
2. Clean the restoration in an ultrasound unit for 1 minute, immersed in alcohol; Do not use phosphoric
acid for cleaning after micro etching.
3. Wash the area with abundant water and dry with air.
4. Apply a uniform layer of MZ PRIMER on the surface, wait for 3 minutes and dry with air.
5. Apply a layer of the bonding agent (e.g. Fusion Duralink) following its specific guidelines;
6. Apply the resin cement to the restoration (e.g.Cement Post) and place it on the retainer tooth.Follow the cement manufacturer´s guidelines regarding curing.Cementing of metal ceramic and metal prostheses
